Seigoshi Mine

Seigoshi Mine (清越金山跡) was an gold mine. I went there twice : the first time I couldn’t get in, I was with some Japanese friends and they wouldn’t go inside “such a thing” (beginning of 2010).

The second time  I was with fellow explorers, but unfortunately the main structure has been just dismantled (end of 2011). Luckily, we still have the old wooden buildings to visit on top of the hill. And what a surprise it was when we found a room full of computers still running, beeping and analyzing data!

What is the purpose of them? Geomagnetic analysis? Is it abandoned or still in use? That remains a mystery.
