Young People Plaza • Ohmi Lodge

The Young People Plaza (若人の広場) consists of a museum and a gigantic memorial (25 meters high tower) which pay tribute to the young people who died during World War II.

It was built in 1967 (designed by Kenzo Tange) and closed right after the Kobe Earthquake in 1995 due to irreparable damage. There is also a hotel complex next to it called Ohmi Lodge.

On October 21th 2010, the 16th National Veterans Memorial was hold.
