Yamamoto Grand Center

Yamamoto Grand Center (山本園大谷グランドセンタ) is an old and quite famous SPA built into a rock. The building appearance is amazingly gloomy, covered by a layer of roots, mold and miscellaneous plants.

Quick update : Security cameras, alarms and move detectors are at the entrance, pretty difficult to go through without triggering the alarm…

    • Really? That’s surprising. I don’t know why they would need to protect this place. Maybe some people got hurt and they had to do this…

That’s what I thought too… we were a bit disappointed but the signs said (in Japanese) “dangerous”, “be careful at the vipers” and of course ” Alsok security”, ” do not enter…” etc…

Of all the places you’ve been in, this one looks the most structurally unsound. I can see why they would take an extra measure to keep people out. Which reminds me Jordy. Be really careful on these explorations in photography. I take it no one knows where you are when your doing them. I’d hate to see you get hurt for a shoot.

    • This was a visit in… 2010! Long time ago 🙂 I actually went back two years ago I believe, it’s hard to believe that now there is security. This one was not that dangerous though at this time, except the broken glass. The most dangerous are probably Dreamland, Gunkanjima, Negishi and Fuchu! Maybe you have seen those on my main website. I am now preparing an article about Dreamland: The End.
