The Lake Yamanaka Resort Mansion was never finished. It sits in a heavy silence, a giant slab of raw concrete in a spot where there is nothing much left to see except the view of Mount Fuji. Every one of its rooms, and there might be more than a hundred of them, is exactly identical, so walking through it feels like wandering a maze.
It could be a paradise for street artists, though. I would love to see the whole building covered in beautiful graffiti one day. Wouldn’t that be the most fitting future for a place like this?
